PackFlow Refresh 2023 Steel

The PackFlow 2023 reports provide government, industry, and stakeholders with robust evidence on UK packaging flows, recycling performance, and compliance risks. Produced to support Defra and the Devolved Administrations, the project updates the baseline year to 2022 for packaging placed on the market (POM), collections, recycling, and end markets.

Phase 2 develops scenarios up to 2028 and assesses risks against packaging recycling targets. This report focuses on UK steel packaging, offering detailed POM estimates, recycling quantities in the UK and abroad, and insights into steel recycling end markets. Error margins and data robustness assessments ensure reliability for policy and planning.
