This report, commissioned by WRAP and delivered by Valpak Consulting with support from the Confederation of Paper Industries (CPI), reviews paper and card packaging placed on the UK market (POM) and recycling performance in 2014. Drawing on primary and secondary research, the study provides a robust assessment of industry data.
With insights from Defra, the Environment Agency, ACE UK, DS Smith, and other key stakeholders, the project also projects future POM figures and recycling rates through to 2020. The findings highlight opportunities for improving UK recycling performance and shaping sustainable packaging strategies.
Valpak’s Plastic PackFlow 2025 Methodology Review strengthens the methodologies used to estimate UK plastic packaging placed on the market, introducing updated 2024 baseline data, improved robustness assessments, and evidence to support packaging policy, regulatory development, and informed industry decision-making.
